Passenger suffers personal injury in Ohio car crash

Two women in Ohio recently required medical treatment following a two-vehicle crash. According to police, the driver of a sedan -- a 19-year-old woman -- lost control of her vehicle and struck an oncoming automobile. The passenger in the second vehicle, a 52-year-old woman, suffered personal injury as a result of the crash.

The incident occurred recently in Warwick Township on a local road. Apparently, the teenager's car ended up partially off the roadway. When she attempted to correct her direction and reenter the road, her vehicle reportedly struck the car in which the victim was riding. The driver deemed responsible for the crash and the passenger in the second vehicle were transported to two separate hospitals in the area for care. Their current conditions are unknown.

Police issued citations for the crash. The teen was cited for losing control of her vehicle and for driving while impaired. Further information concerning the accusations was not available.

A car accident that results in injury can cause both physical and financial hardships. These accidents typically require emergency medical care and rehabilitation, both of which can be quite expensive and require time away from family and work responsibilities. The victim injured in this incident retains the right to file a personal injury claim against the driver considered responsible for the crash, as well as any other party who had an ownership interest in the vehicle that the accused woman was driving. This claim may be filed in an Ohio civil court and, if liability is established, financial relief will likely be awarded to cover the monetary losses occasioned by the collision.
