Ohio residents usually have a number of service providers to choose from when they need something done. In some cases, the choice may only come down to price, but in other cases, they need to make sure they focus on quality and qualifications in order to avoid more problems. One area in which they may want to go with the latter choice is when it comes to asbestos removal.

Asking lots of questions could help differentiate between a quality company and one that may not do a thorough and safe job. For this reason, the Environmental Protection Agency came up with a list of questions for potential clients to ask to help make sure they end up with the right removal company. For instance, certification, training and experience count when it comes to eradicating this toxic and carcinogenic substance from a client’s property.

A potential provider should have no problem providing proof of certification, proof of training for all employees and references from former clients. A possible client should feel free to ask questions regarding the company’s processes, such as what types of materials and methods used. Disposal methods, personal protective equipment provided to employees and air clearance testing are other issues to address. The contract between the parties should outline all of these issues as well.

It may go without saying that Ohio property owners should never attempt to remove asbestos on their own, but it bears repeating. Therefore, it is essential to choose the right asbestos removal company. After asking all of these and other questions, a thorough review of the contract is in order to make sure the customer is protected should anything go wrong.
