Some car accidents result in serious injuries to Ohio residents

While thankfully, the majority of car accidents that occur primarily result in property damage and either no or minor injuries, there are some with more severe consequences. These car accidents are responsible for serious injuries being suffered by those involved and all that comes with it, including massive medical bills, loss of wages due to time needed to recover and rehabilitation treatments, just to name a few. A recent accident, reported to be a pretty nasty crash, in Ohio sent six people -- including the driver suspected of being responsible -- to the hospital with injuries.

The accident occurred at the beginning of May at an intersection on State Route 18. The driver of a sedan, a 20-year-old female, supposedly ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle. The driver and all four of her passengers were flown to a hospital in Cleveland with unspecified injuries. Both occupants of the other vehicle were also transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Local law enforcement is still investigating this incident. It is unknown if any charges have been filed against the driver thought to be responsible. At this time, police don't believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the cause of the crash, and it also wasn't clear what might have caused the woman to apparently run the stop sign.

Car accidents that result in serious injury can be difficult to overcome, both physically and financially. The pain and suffering endured, the monetary losses acquired and the time lost due to rehabilitation can all take their toll. All the victims hurt in this crash may be entitled to file personal injury claims against the driver deemed responsible for the collision. If negligence is found to have been a factor in the cause of the accident and the driver is found liable to the satisfaction of a civil court in Ohio, financial compensation may be granted for each claim.
